South Beach Seaplanes Service Returns to Bimini Bay Resort & Marina

South Floridians will have a new, exciting way of getting to Bimini Bay Resort & Marina when seaplanes return to the resort starting today.

South Beach Seaplanes’ amphibious Cessna Caravan will depart from Watson Island in Miami Beach for Bimini Bay, the Bahamian piece of paradise just 30 minutes off the coast of South Florida. The plane can be chartered for an introductory rate of $999 each way and seats up to nine people.

“You really can’t experience the full beauty of Bimini Bay until you arrive by seaplane. It’s an incredible thrill to land on the water,” said Christian Eiroa, founder of South Beach Seaplanes and frequent visitor to the island. “South Beach Seaplanes will offer a very high level of personalized service and comfort, while giving busy South Floridians and vacationers the option of flying when their schedules permit on one of the safest aircrafts available for seaplane travel.”

For added convenience, South Beach Seaplanes will operate out of the Bimini Seaplane Station, located in downtown North Bimini, just minutes away from Bimini Bay Resort & Marina, Miami’s “offshore playground.”

With the largest marina in the Bahamas, Bimini Bay Resort & Marina is a long-established hub for yachting and sport fishing enthusiasts. Now, the private, tropical getaway is attracting South Florida residents and visitors with a robust events schedule and an array of family-friendly amenities.

“We are excited seaplanes have returned to Bimini Bay Resort & Marina,” said Bill Lee, general manager. “The personalized service guests will receive on South Beach Seaplanes will only enhance their trip to Bimini, with that high-class service continuing once they arrive at the resort.”

Bimini Bay Resort offers one- to four-bedroom suites and villas and features three restaurants, including its signature Sabor, Fisherman’s Village open-air shopping center, full concierge services, “Beach Bums” children’s activity center, two outdoor pools, fitness center, massage services, Wi-Fi throughout entire resort and marina, meeting facilities, business center, tennis center, grocery store, and access to other activities, including world-class fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling with dolphins and sharks and boat tours and excursions.
