Adding to the previously announced, star-studded roster of talent performing at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera, Selena Gomez, The Band Perry, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Kacey Musgraves are also slated to grace the stage. This highly anticipated awards show, airing live from Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena SUNDAY, MAY 19 (8:00–11:00 pm, ET) on the ABC Television Network, sponsored by Chevrolet, Las Vegas and Samsung GALAXY S 4, will deliver unforgettable performances including the already announced Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Miguel, Prince and Justin Bieber, as well as honor the biggest names in music. Multi-platinum-selling recording artist Selena Gomez is nothing short of a star. Selena is seeing overwhelming success as of late and recently released her new single, “Come & Get It,” which is currently climbing a host of Billboard charts. Her new album will be released this summer, followed by a global tour. Selena has already sold over 10 million singles in the US, along with three RIAA-certified top-ten debuting gold albums, and has amassed four No. 1 Billboard Dance Club songs.

The Band Perry, comprised of siblings Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry, combines classic country music with an eclectic infusion of rock and soul that is rounded out by perfect three-part harmonies. The sibling trio’s sophomore album Pioneer (Republic Nashville) debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with nearly 130,000 copies sold in the first week. Produced by Dann Huff, Pioneer has received acclaim from top critics across the country and has already produced two hit singles – the No. 1 Hot Country Songs single, “Better Dig Two,” plus the recent top 10 hit, “DONE.” The family band is also the face of Outnumber Hunger, which is in its second year and helps secure meals for the 1 in 6 Americans who struggle with hunger. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, a duo from Seattle, Washington, have emerged as a premier international hip-hop group known for their electrifying live shows, expertly crafted music, and innovative music videos and media. 2012 was a banner year for the group, kicked off by Macklemore’s feature in XXL’s Freshman Class. Most recently, they have broken new ground by independently releasing their debut full-length album, The Heist, which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart without the support of a traditional record label. Their single “Thrift Shop” spent six weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart (5x Platinum), with help from a wildly popular music video (250 million+ views on YouTube) on heavy rotation on BET and MTV. Nashville-based singer-songwriter, Kacey Musgraves recently released her chart-topping album Same Trailer Different Park to massive critical acclaim. Her Top Ten Country Airplay debut single “Merry Go ‘Round” clearly demonstrates the 24-year-old’s songwriting prowess, which can be seen throughout the record on songs like “Blowin’ Smoke,” “Follow Your Arrow” and Silver Lining.” Kacey has been performing since she was eight years old and wrote her first song at nine years old. To date, Kacey has opened shows for Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Loretta Lynn and recently wrapped tours with Lady Antebellum and Little Big Town. Currently she can be found on Kenny Chesney’s “No Shoes Nation” tour this spring and summer.
